Search for a keyword or phrase from any of the fields in the database [search hints]
BROWSE BY SUBJECT HEADING
Full functionality is only available using Internet Explorer 5 and above, Mozilla or Netscape 7.0 or higher
Records containing one or more of the keywords entered will be returned by default.
e.g. orwell farm will return records containing either orwell or farm
Boolean searching can be used to include or exclude terms:
- + searchterm means term is mandatory (and) e.g. +orwell +farm will return records containing both orwell and farm
- − searchterm means term must be excluded (not) e.g. −farm +orwell will return records containing orwell but not farm
A search based on a phrase can be submitted by surrounding the phrase terms with quotation marks
e.g. "paradise lost"
