UCL’s considerable success in health research creates a virtuous circle that drives forward discovery, innovation and improvements in patient care.
Training 2,100 doctors at any one time is just the start:
Medical students at UCL spend more than 10% of their training in the community. Much of this learning takes place in GP surgeries across London where they meet large numbers of patients and learn about healthcare outside the traditional hospital setting. This constitutes one of the largest programmes of community-based undergraduate teaching in the UK.

UCL Partners is the largest academic health science partnership in Europe, pulling together the resources and expertise of 20 National Health Service (NHS) Trusts and their constituent hospitals.
