Internship with the Baum lab

The Baum lab at the LMCB is looking for a Masters Level Student to
join a project in the lab on a comparison between Archaeal and Eukaryotic cell

The candidate must be available from the end of Nov 2014 until the end of
March 2015.


The successful candidate should have an undergraduate degree, should
have been accepted onto a Masters programme, and should have interdisciplinary
training. They should also have extensive research experience in multiple labs
of international standing (>9 months in total), and experience with
computational methods, live cell imaging and microscopy.


The successful candidate will work in Paris and London. They will
undertake a bioinformatics analysis, wet lab experiments and will help to develop
a new imaging platform.


Core skills:

Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary research

A proven ability to engage in creative problem solving as part of a team

Experience with live imaging high resolution microscopy

Good computational skills

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
