Laboratory for Language and Speech Diversions (LLSD)

LLSD's Mascot _ 2

Laboratory for Language and Speech Diversions (LLSD) is a newly-formed "Lab group" in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at University College London.

The purpose of the group is to discuss various projects which are related to Language and Speech Diversions, such as Slips of the ear, Child language acquisition, Whistled languages, Intoxicated phonology, Alien language game [Participants Wanted], Dialectal divergence, and many others. Our research is partially funded by the British Academy, the Arts and Humanities Research Council, and the Economic and Social Research Council.

We welcome academics within and outside London to present past and current projects. We aim to keep the setting of the meetings very informal, as we believe that this generates exciting discussions, invaluable feedback and productive interactions within the group.
