Professor Steve Jones, University College London

 

“Human Evolution: Has it stopped?”

Steve was awarded the Royal Society Faraday Medal for public understanding of science in 1997, the BP Natural World Book Prize in 2000 and the Institute of Biology Charter Medal in 2002. Steve is also the President of the Galton Institute. Steve is one of the world’s best known Biologists and popular science writers.


 

 

Professor Jim Al-Khalili, University of Surrey

 

“Quantum Mechanics, how weird is it?”

Jim is a British scientist, author and broadcaster. He is a professor of Theoretical Physics at the University of Surrey where he also holds a chair in the Public Engagement in Science. Jim was awarded the Royal Society Michael Faraday Prize for Science Communication in 2007 and an OBE in the 2008 Birthday Honours.
