Module prerequisites: 
Module outline:Students observe a fortnightly toddler group for an hour and a half which is held at the Anna Freud Centre and attend weekly one hour seminars to present and discuss these observations. This module focuses upon the toddlers development towards separation and individuation from the primary care giver as the child's motor and cognitive capacities increase.  
Module aims:The aim of the observation courses is to train students to describe children's interactions in terms of the following: 1) sequencing and timing of behaviours 2) expression of affect (feelings) 3) verbal and non-verbal communications 4) consequences in terms of: - reactions elicited from others - the corresponding reaction of the target child - mutual influences and reciprocity
