Module outline:This course offers an advanced exploration of a specific topic in generative syntax. 
Module aims:This course is an advanced exploration of one or more issues in syntactic theory. We will discuss seminal papers on and current approaches to some issue or issues of current interest in generative grammar. 
Module objectives:To enable students to understand current issues in syntactic theory. To enable students to evaluate conflicting proposals critically. To enable them to formulate and test their own proposals.
