Glossaire des moeurs, coûtumes etc. de France: material used by the the lexicographer Jean Baptiste de La Curne de Sainte-Palaye (1697-1781 ) for his Glossaire de l'ancienne langue françoise, which he announced in 1756, but which was not published in its entirety for more than a century (it finally appeared in 1875-1882). The material here is an alphabetical arrangement of topics, with marginal references giving the volume and page from which the extracts are made.
