Bunnell Lewis Papers - MS ADD 291

Drawing of Orpheus, from 'Remarks on Ivory Cabinets', by Bunnell Lewis 1 box

Notes, mainly on Juvenal, by the classical archaeologist Bunnell Lewis, (1824-1908). Most of the notes are not in Lewis's hand. They are draft footnotes and suggestions for a preface for an illustrated edition of Juvenal, apparently produced by Lewis's students, though not published. There are other notes on classical archaeology and philology, and also notes on the Turkish language.
