Over 300 books and 1500 pamphlets (some in multiple copies), plus 24 bound
volumes of the Daily Review of the Foreign Express.
A collection of contemporary publications relating to
the First World war, covering a wide range of topics from Allied propaganda
in the US and
neutral countries (a particular strength) to Bulgarian territorial claims,
military aspects of the projected Channel Tunnel and British campaigns
in the Middle east.
The collection was bequeathed in 1925 by Leonard A. Magnus, a UCL student
1896-1904. It also includes a small but fascinating collection of postcards,
posters, broadsheets and maps.
