UCL’s Publications Policy
UCL’s Publications Policy stipulates that, copyright permissions allowing, all UCL research outputs, funded or otherwise, must be deposited in UCL Discovery in Open Access.
For RCUK- and Wellcome Trust-funded authors, UCL’s Open Access claims/deposit procedure includes deposit in UCL Discovery. Research outputs funded by other organisations, or not resulting from external funding, should be submitted to UCL Discovery via the Research Publications Service. UCL Discovery staff will check copyright permissions before making copies of UCL research publications openly available.
UCL’s Publications Policy
Key principles:
(1) copyright permissions allowing, a copy of all research outputs should be deposited in UCL Discovery in Open Access
(2) individual UCL academic researchers should be directly responsible for providing and maintaining details of their publications in relevant UCL databases
For UCL authors, Green Open Access means deposit in 
Gold (author pays) Open Access means Open Access on the publisher’s site, upon payment of an Article Processing Charge.
