The RNID Library is open to the public for reference access. There is no need to make an appointment, although anyone travelling from a distance is advised to check with us first that the library will be open as advertised.

On the first Tuesday of each month, the library will be open at 12:00, until further notice.

Please note:
The ICH Library is closed during College closure periods and on Bank Holidays. Staff and postgraduate students who are members of the library and who work at ICH or GOSH can obtain access to the library at any time during the normal ICH opening hours, which are currently Monday to Sunday from 08:00 to 22:45.

Entry to our building is restricted after 18:00. Please ensure that you arrive by 18:00.
In addition, on Monday and Friday some services are limited from 17:00.

If you wish to join the Library you must make your first visit during Issue Desk opening hours.

Existing library members can access the Library outside of Issue Desk opening hours for reference only. A valid UCL ID card / Moorfields Eye Hospital ID card / UCL Library card must be produced at reception.

Public holidays: Opening arrangements are the same as weekends.

Please note:
Opening hours may vary, especially during vacations when lunchtime closures are sometimes necessary. It is a good idea to contact the library before visiting : telephone 020 7679 4207 (internal ext. 24207), or email lib-lass@ucl.ac.uk.

Renewals: You can renew your loans online via eUCLid (you will need your Library PIN for this), or leave a message on the Renewals voicemail: 020 7679 4208, internal ext. 24208.
Returns: When the library is closed, books can be returned via the Bookdrop on the ground floor, next to the student pigeonholes.
