| Step 3: Make your research Open Access |
If your funder specifies that publications should be deposited in UK PubMed Central, check whether your journal will submit the published version on your behalf.
If not, submit the final, accepted manuscript yourself via Europe PMC Plus.
If your funder requires publications to be made freely available online in an appropriate repository, you should submit your final, accepted manuscript to the UCL Discovery repository. Send your paper by email to discovery@ucl.ac.uk.
Submission to UCL Discovery is a good way to gain the advantages of Open Access even if your funder does not have an OA policy.
For further advice about claiming open access fees, please contact open-access-funding@ucl.ac.uk.
