The Library is located on the fifth floor of Wates House.
Wates House itself is situated opposite UCL Union on Gordon Street, close to the
junction with Euston Road. The entrance to the building is down the walkway which
runs past the bicycle racks. External visitors should report to the reception
desk in the foyer. Once through the turnstile take the lift to the 5th floor,
turn left and walk through the double doors.
Wheelchair access to the Library is available via the main
lifts. We also offer a range of other facilities for users with disabilities which
are listed separately.
There are two black and white photocopiers available for
use in the Library. These are supplemented by a photocopy card dispenser and re-charger machine.
Cards can be used in the majority of the
UCL family of libraries and retail at £1 each: this represents the cost of the card. Copy credit may then be added in units of 20p to an amount of your choice (£50 maximum)
and under the new service printing costs break down to 5p per sheet of A4.
Transparencies for use in the photocopier machines are availabe from the Bartlett Issue Desk - cost 10p per transparency.
