UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health Library refurbishment
6 June 2017
The UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health Library is having a complete makeover this summer.
To carry out this work we'll be closing the library from the 19 June until mid August.
What services will be available while the library is shut?
- Library staff will be available to help students and staff in the Wolfson Centre.
- Our scheduled training sessions will carry on as advertised. Staff will also be available for one to one support.
- Library staff can be contacted by email at ich.library@ucl.ac.uk
Where else can I study?
- You can use any of UCL’s libraries
- The closest one is the UCL School of Pharmacy Library
What will the new library look like?
The library is being completely refurbished and the new design will include:
- Over 100 study spaces and computers
- A new reception area
- Soft seating in the alcove areas
- A bookable pod for group work
- A bookable small training room for up to 6 people
Borrowing books
Please borrow all the books you need before 19 June and they won't be due back until 25 September. If you need to return your books before the library reopens in August, please take them to the UCL School of Pharmacy Library.
Thank you for your patience
Whilst we're sorry to have to close the library for this period, we're excited about the new facilities and we hope you will enjoy using them when the work is finished.
