There has been a significant change in the way Athens accounts operate. Previously, users would obtain a username and password from one of the Library's Enquiry Desks which would then enable them to access various online resources from UCL computers.
Athens accounts can still be obtained from Library Enquiry Desks in the same way, but it is now necessary to create an Athens "personal account" before they will work. This must be done on a networked UCL computer by going to www.athens.co.uk and following the instructions. Once this is done, you will be able to access all the Athens-controlled resources either from within UCL or from a personal computer at home.
