Jamaica workshop, 2 June 2015

On Tuesday 2rd June we took part in a workshop at the University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, jointly organised with UWI’s Department of History & Archaeology.

This was a public workshop with 11 papers, half from LBS and half from scholars at UWI. Each of the talks sparked questions and discussion afterwards, culminating in a round table at the end of the day. We made new connections with the National Library of Jamaica, the Jamaica National Heritage Trust and the Institute of Jamaica, each of whom was represented at the workshop.
