Grade I listed Palladian house, in 27 acres of parkland; built by Roger Morris in 1720 for Col John Campbell, later Duke of Argyll.

Owned by William Manning from 1813 but sold because of bankruptcy in 1830. (Years of residence are correct; exact dates are not known.)

Later owners included Sir Robert Mond, a founder of ICI, (1907-), a school run by the Society of the Holy Child Jesus from 1924; bought by a charitable trust in 1972 and became the current Combe Bank School.
