'Partner and representative' of Archibald Edmonstone & Co. (q.v.). Probably the son of Archibald Lapslie and Jean Edmonstone (1759-1821), and cousin of Archibald (d. 1837) and Robert Edmonstone (d. 1834), the sons of Archibald Edmonstone of Spittal (1754-1821) and nephews of Charles Edmonstone (1757-1827).
