Reported by his brother-in-law to have died intestate in Honduras 'before that period', i.e., the award of compensation, which was February 1836.

There were 'Enquiries made into the whereabouts of Henry Hugh Brennan' in the papers of the Earl of Musgrave, the Governor of Jamaica, c. 1832.
