Biography

James Irving 'the third' (1792-1857) son of James Irving 'the second' (1749-1798) and cousin of Jacob Aemlius Irving (q.v.) and John Beaufin Irving (q.v.), who married Judith Bowen Nasmyth, one of the co-heiresses of Dr Thomas Nasmyth of Rhodes Hall in Hanover and Water Valley in St Mary's in 1819.

  1. Baptisms of James Irving 10/04/1823 at St Marylebone and Robert Nasmyth Irving 25/09/1827 at Langham, sons of James and Judith Bowen Irving. Will of Judith Bowen Irving formerly of Laneborough Lodge Cheltenham but late of Bonshaw near Ecclefechan County of Dumfries who died 19/06/1873 proved by son Robert Nasmyth Irving of Bonshaw 29/07/1873 effects under £3000.
