Biography

Shown as 'Executor of Lambie' for the Friendship estate in St Thomas-in-the-East, but more likely to have been a representative of the heirs of the co-owner of Friendship, Charles Irvine. Two of the other three men in the same capacity in the claim (Robert Alcock and William Skinner Bishop of Aberdeen, each of whom q.v.) are also identifiable as resident in Scotland: the third, William Henderson, was also almost certainly resident in Scotland. The estate papers are in the Special Collections of the University of Aberdeen.

  1. Almost certainly the John Robert Skinner, Writer to the Signet of Edinburgh, who died c. 1850.
