The information in the Jamaica Almanac is based on the givings in from the previous March Quarter hence the earlier evolution date. Thomas Barnes was listed as the owner of Halfway Tree in the Jamaica Almanacs up until 1838 - he may have continued to own the property after that point but research has only been undertaken to establish ownership up until full emancipation came with the ending of apprenticeship in 1838.
