Partner in Philip & George Protheroe (q.v.) with his cousin George Protheroe (q.v.) and then with his son Mark Davis Protheroe. Son of Philip Protheroe of Bristol (1747-1803) and brother of Edward Protheroe (1774-1856) (q.v.). Bankrupt 1843.
