Resident planter of Leguan Island Demerara and Essequibo, executor of Thomas Frankland (q.v.), attorney to Crawley, Elgie and Churchyard and attorney to Agnes Case Forbet. 'Chief Justice of Demerara' [in fact, British Guiana], dying there in 1862 in his 67th year.

  1. "On Sunday, the 29th December, 1822, at St. George's church, Demerara, by the Rev. W. J. Austin, Wm. Arrindell, Esq., of Lincoln's-inn, barrister at law, to Mary Anne, eldest daughter of Mrs. Shearson, relict of the late John Shearson, Esq., of Newton-in-the-Willows, Lancashire."

Administration of will of Dame Mary Anne Arrindell widow formerly of Georgetown British Guiana but late of Birkdale Southport granted at Liverpool 09/09/1871 to John Shearson the lawful attorney of Etienne Auguste Manget MD and the Rev. Richard Legge Webber, executors of Liverpool, effects under £1500.

William Arrindell was shown in 1832 as joint-owner with R. Goodfellow of 5/6th and with R. Goodfellow and S.B. Cox of the remainder (although the numbers of enslaved people do not correspond to this division) of the Zeelandia estate in British Guiana; Arrindell unsuccessfully claimed compensation as owner-in-fee in 1834, assigning it to George Rainy.
