  1. Willl of David Hall of Portland Place Middlesex proved 14/09/1844. 'Formerly of Portman Square [sic], then of Botley's Park Surrey and now of Portland Place but intending to move very soon to 10 Park Crescent Middlesex.' [Probate Calendar]. The will is very short and simple and left everything to his son Alexander Hall Hall.

  2. Born Tully (Ireland) c. 1772. Married Margaret Salter, daughter of John Forster Alleyne and Elizabeth Gibbs (Willing) [died 7 May 1823] in Barbados 1811. Partner in Alexander, David and George Hall; David and George Hall; George Hall & Company. Left Barbados 1811, partner in Underwood Hall & Co. of London, West India merchants with Henry Iles Underwood, Charles McGarel and Alexander Hall. The firm continued after Underwood's death as Hall, McGarel & Co.

  3. 'Before his death he seems to have realised all his West Indian property and interests', including Locust Hall, sold in 1843 to William Alleyne Culpeper.
