London lawyer, son of James William Freshfield (q.v.) whom he predeceased, awarded compensation as co-trustee on 3 groups of claims, one for the Vreesen Hoop estate in British Guiana under the marriage settlement of John Turing Ferrier and Adriana Jonas, two under the marriage settlement of A.G. Milne and Dorothea Milne for the Beausejour and Simlair [sp?] estates on Grenada; and three as trustee for what appears to be a group of City financiers who had lent money to and taken security from the failing London merchant firm of Manning and Anderdon over two estates - Spooners and Priddies Morne - on St Kitts.
