Biography

Son of 1st Earl of Romney, inherited title as 2nd Earl 1 March 1811.

  1. Robert Marsham, Lord Romney (d. 1793) married Priscilla, daughter and sole heir of Charles Pym (d. 1740) of St Kitts. Estates valued at £19000.  Their son was Charles Marsham 1st Earl of Romney (1744-1811), whose son in turn was Charles Marsham, 2nd Earl of Romney (1777-1845).

  2. The daughter of the 2nd Earl of Romney, Lady Maria Marsham, married the banker Henry Hoare in 1836. Their daughter Angelina Margaret Hoare is in the ODNB as 'missionary.
