Given as "Patrick Neilson, Scotland, owner-in-fee" in the Register of Claims but otherwise not identified.

  1. Patrick Neilson, agent, Glasgow, and Janet Loudon in Tradestown were married in Glasgow 21/12/1824. Patrick Neilson of Comsquhill, merchant, and Janet Loudown had a son Patrick baptised 26/05/1830. Mr Patrick Neilson of Camoqhuill, merchant, Glasgow, was listed as a landowner in Balfron, Stirlingshire, in 1844.

  2. Living at Portland Street, Gorbals, Lanarkshire, in 1841, age 50, Accountant, living with William Neilson age 15, Patrick Neilson age 11, John Neilson age 9 and 3 servants. This Patrick Neilson is presumably the same as the one listed in Pigot's Directory for Scotland in 1837 as an accountant and agent at 33 Glassford Street.

  3. The inventory of Patrick Neilson, accountant, who died 27/01/1850, lists under 'Doubtful Debts' the sum of £1106 due from James Fowler of Montego Bay, Jamaica. Patrick Neilson Esquire, of Camoquhill, insurance agent, in his 60th year, died at 83 South Portland Street, Glasgow, 27/01/1850.
