Thomas Hervey, the illegitimate son but heir of Hon. Thomas Hervey, a younger son of the 1st Earl of Bristol. Thomas Hervey's son was William Hervey (q.v.). This was the man 'now residing at Park Street' Westminster, administration of whose will was granted 08/05/1782 to Thomas Myddelton, a creditor: by that time Thomas Hervey was shown as of Brussels in Austrian Flanders. The will, made in 1780 is short and left his wife Elizabeth as the guardian and tutor of their sons Thomas Augustus and William. The will of Elizabeth Hervey (q.v.) shows her sons as Thomas Augustus and William.
