Daughter of Sir Joseph Mawbey 2nd bart. and Charlotte Henchman: the latter was the grand-daughter of William Berney (q.v.). Anna Maria Mawbey married John Ivatt Briscoe (q.v.) in 1819. The trustees of her marriage settlement were awarded 1/9th of the compensation for Lower Berney's in Barbados.
