Alexander Denoon

Biography

London merchant, partner with George Henry Hooper (q.v.): Denoon does not appear as a claimant with Hooper on the latter's claim as assignee on Mary's Hope in British Guiana , but the firm acted as agent for other slave-owners and Denoon was one of the trustees for the reputed children of the deceased Berbice planter James Kirkwood in the 1840s.
