Biography

Claimed unsuccessfully as owner-in-fee for the compensation for a currently unknown estate on Nevis, but probably Gingerland, which their father Walter Maynard (d. 1804, q.v. under Walter Maynard the elder) had left to Walter, William and James Maynard. The compensation for Gingerland was paid to the London bankers Bosanquet & Anderdon.

  1. The will of a William Maynard of 19 Great Pulteney Street City of Westminster was proved 27/09/1841 but is extremely brief, leaving everything to his wife and executor Margaret and has no reference to property in the Caribbean.
