Biography

Awarded the compensation for 6 enslaved people in St Elizabeth Jamaica.

  1. Mary Ann (born 07/03/1801) and William Robert (born 30/08/1803), children of John Wright Esquire and Ann his wife, were baptised 05/05/1804 in St Elizabeth.

  2. Marriage at the Cove of Cork, on the 21st February last, William Plant. Esq. Deputy Assistant Commissary General, to Mary-Ann youngest daughter of the late John Wright, Esq. of St. Elizabeth's.

  3. John McClymont registered enslaved people in St Elizabeth in 1832 on behalf of William Plant by deed of Mrs Ann Wright.

  4. Original claim filed by William Plant, absentee. Amended award to Mary Ann Plant, widow.

  5. In 1851 Mary A Plant, widow annuitant aged 47 born Jamaica, was a visitor with Henry Ellison ('surgeon not in practice', aged 33, born Jamaica) and his family at 39 Orford [?] Street in Chelsea.
