Biography

William Foreman Home of Wedderburn, Billie and Paxton. Son of John Foreman and Margaret Tod, the daughter of Jean Home and John Tod.

  1. William Foreman Home may have been resident in Grenada 1820-1835.  John Fairbairn , the manager of the Waltham estate for George Home of Paxton, made his will 7 Sep 1820, registered 18/06/1821 Grenada, 11 Aug 1821 London. George Home (d. 1820) had inherited Paxton House from his elder brother Ninian (killed by Fedon in 1795); he inherited Wedderburn from Patrick Home in 1812.  (Patrick had sold the unfinished Paxton House to Ninian Home for £15,000 in 1773).

  2. William Foreman, an attorney in Berwick, married Jane Home, youngest daughter of the Rev. George Home, minister of Ayton, at Ayton Manse, 13/12/1810. They had four daughters.
