Pythagoras Emerging from the Underworld

'Pythagoras Emerging from the Underworld', painting by Salvator Rosa. Simon Haughton Clarke apparently acted jointly for a period with George Hibbert (q.v.) in purchasing pictures c. 1801-1802. However, a joint sale under their names was made by Christies in London 15/05/1802 and appears to have dispersed this joint collection, including Salvator Rosa's Pythagoras emerging from the underworld, now in the Kimbell Museum in Fort Worth.
