T71/887: claim from W. Dent etc., as owner-in-fee by transfer from Colin Campbell, purchaser at judicial sale.

 

T71/1610: letter, dated 02/03/1837, from Baxendale Tatham, Great Winchester St., stating: the counterclaim awarded this to principals, but no power of attorney - Mr Wilkinson Dent is in China, the Awards lie idle and unproductive in our hands. The three were partners in the late firm of Campbell Dent & Co.

 

T71/432 p. 1252 (Slave Registers): enslaved persons were registered by Colin Simpson for himself, and Alex McRae and W. Urqhart as curators of the estate of the late Evan Fraser (deceased). Both Pleasing Hope and Ridge had belonged to Evan Fraser [London Gazette18809 03/06/1831 pp. 1085-1086].
