Tuition Fees
The most up to date information on the tuition fees at UCL can be found on
the Money section of
the UCL website. Please click on the Fee Schedule for the required year
to view the fee's applicable for that academic session.
Students who enrol onto one of our programmes with a year abroad in Europe
(Law with French Law, Law with German Law and Law with Hispanic Law) will have
a different fee structure than those on the Law LLB degree programme. For the
years spent at UCL (years 1, 2 and 4) normal UCL fees will apply. Students
will pay a reduced rate to UCL during their year abroad and no fees at all
to the host institution. As these programmes are under the ERASMUS scheme UK
and EU fee paying students will not pay any tuition fees for the year abroad.
The students who successfully transfer onto the Law with Another Legal System
(Australia or Singapore) LLB programme in their second year of the Law LLB
programme will also pay a reduced fee rate for their year abroad.
Please see the Finance
for Students Abroad webpage for further information on the proportion of
fees payable remembering that information will differ depending on whether
you would be on an ERASMUS exchange or a Departmental exchange (Law with Another
Legal System) and whether you are a UK, EU or Overseas fee payer.
Students on double degree programmes are required to pay the normal fee rate
to UCL for the 2 years spent at UCL and pay fees directly to the institution
abroad for the two years spent there. For those on the English Law and German
Law
LLB and Baccalaureus Legum the fees for years 3 and 4 are those set by the
University of Cologne. Those who successfully transfer to the LLB/JD
double
degree programme will pay Columbia’s fees for years 3 and 4. Information
regarding Columbia, including the fees, will be circulated by the Faculty in
advance of the applications being opened to students at the start of their
second year.
