Profile

Marc Moore joined the Faculty of Laws in 2009, having previously lectured at the University of Bristol (2004-2009). He is Deputy Director of the UCL Centre for Commercial Law, and specialism convenor for graduate corporate law teaching at UCL. Marc also acted as director of the UCL Centre for Ethics & Law during the formative stages of its development. He is the joint commissioning editor of a new Palgrave-Macmillan advanced text series on Corporate and Financial Law, and is a content editor of Routledge Company Law Statutes and Tolley’s Company Law. In 2011, Marc was a visiting professor in the Adolf A. Berle, Jr. Center on Corporations, Law & Society based at the Seattle University School of Law, where he taught courses in US business entities law and comparative corporate law. In 2010, he was UK national reporter on corporate governance for the 18th Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law.

Research
Marc’s principal research interests are in UK and US corporate law, corporate governance, capital markets and theory of the firm. His most recent work (currently in press) is Corporate Governance in the Shadow of the State (2013, Hart Publishing).
