The Jevons Institute aims to attract high quality students and researchers
to UCL. It will do so in part through offering prizes, scholarships and
placement opportunities to its best research, LLM and LLB candidates each
year in co-operation with some of its donors and friends.
Antitrust and regulation courses at UCL are designed to study and evaluate
laws, regulations and judicial enforcement, as well as state action and
public policies aimed at maintaining competitive business conducts and
market structures.
The Jevons Institute co-ordinates UCL's teaching and research in this
area and facilitates the award of a LLM in Antitrust and Regulation. Courses
currently offered at UCL are:
Jevons Finalist
Award
Each academic year the Jevons Institute for Competition Law and Economics
selects up to three LLM candidates who excel in the competition law and
economics.
The international law firm Linklaters (a Jevons Institute donor) will
offer to one or more of the Jevons Finalists a remunerated 3 month internship
in the antitrust group of their London office. One or more of the Jevons
Finalists will also be offered an internship at the Office of Fair Trading.
