Laws and European Social and Political Studies Dr Ingrid Boccardi has been appointed to the joint post in Laws and European
Social and Political Studies. Dr Boccardi took her first degree in Rome in political
science, then followed this with a Masters at the College of Europe in Bruges
and a doctorate at University College London in EU Asylum Law under the supervision
of Professor David O'Keeffe. She has taught part-time at UCL for some years,
and it will be a great pleasure to welcome her to the full-time staff. Half of
her teaching will be in EU Law for the ESPS programme, and the other half will
be in Laws in Italian Law and EU Law subjects. She is currently working on a
textbook on EU Asylum Law.
French
Law Dr Myriam Hunter-Henin has been appointed to the new Lectureship in French Law.
Dr Hunter-Henin is a graduate of the KCL LLB/Maitrise programme. She then took
her DEA and a doctorate at the University of Paris I, specialising in Private
International Law. She has been teaching part-time in Paris and is looking forward
to returning to England to take up her first full-time lectureship at UCL. She
will do her main teaching on the French Law elements of the European Legal Studies
course and also contribute to other courses in comparative law and the conflict
of laws. She has published her doctoral thesis in France and is currently working
on an English version.
