Profile
Claire Lougarre joined the faculty in September 2011 as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr Jeff King and Mr Colm O’Cinneide. Claire holds degrees in (French) Public Law (LLB) and International Human Rights Law (LLM). She also studied International Criminal Law and Public International Law in different diplomas.

Claire's main research interests lie in human rights law and the legal enforcement of social rights. Her research focuses on the legal content of the right to health in Europe and on how this right can be translated into clear legal obligations in order to respond more efficiently to health inequities affecting vulnerable and marginalised groups.
