Profile
Jean-Frédéric joined the Faculty of Laws in October 2012 and is doing research in the field of medical law and ethics.
Jean-Frédéric holds a BA in philosophy (Université Laval, 2001) and law degrees from McGill University (BCL / LL.B, 2005) and Oxford University (BCL, 2012). He served as law clerk to the Honourable Madam Justice Louise Charron of the Supreme Court Canada. After practising as a tax lawyer with a prominent Canadian law firm for two years, he became assistant director of the Quebec Research Centre of Private and Comparative Law (now the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private & Comparative Law). He was also clinical ethics consultant for the Montreal Children's Hospital. That is where he developed the strong interest in paediatric ethics that he now wishes to pursue in his doctoral work.
