Profile
Carrie Bradshaw joined the faculty as an MPhil/PhD candidate in April 2010. Her research considers the space and role for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) within contemporary approaches to environmental regulation, together with corollary questions as to the relationship between environmental and corporate law, governance and theory. She uses the problem of waste reduction in the construction industry and supermarket sector to provide illustration of theoretical issues explored in the thesis. Carrie has a general research background in environmental law, with particular focus in the areas of waste, climate change and enforcement. Carrie also retains research interests in tort, particularly private nuisance, together with the CSR implications of various aspects of tortious liability.

Carrie graduated from UCL in 2008 with an LLB in Law and Advanced Studies. Between September 2008-9, she was Project Co-ordinator for the UCL Centre for Law and the Environment, providing full-time administrative and research support. Her research activities there focussed on the climate change mitigation technology Carbon Capture and Storage. Carrie has also provided research assistance in a variety of other environmental areas, including the recently established Environment Tribunal, the use of satellite monitoring as an environmental law enforcement tool and the interaction of the environmental liability and contaminated land regimes.

From September 2009-2012, Carrie held a Teaching Fellowship at UCL for undergraduate tort law, as well as contributing to LLM courses, including Corporate Social Responsibility - An International Perspective. She has acted as an internal examiner at both UCL and King’s College London.

Carrie, with Emily Barritt at King's College London, initiated and organised the UCL-KCL Postgraduate Environmental Symposium held at UCL Laws in November 2012.
