Profile
Oisin joined the department as a research student in October 2011, and is supervised by Professor John Tasioulas and Dr Fiona Smith. His doctoral research is on distributive justice in international trade law.

Prior to joining the department, Oisin trained and practised as a solicitor with a leading Irish law firm, specialising in commercial dispute resolution, technology, data privacy and corporate crime.

Oisin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from University College Dublin (2002), a Postgraduate Diploma in Conflict and Dispute Resolution Studies from Trinity College Dublin (2007), and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Oxford University (2009). His master’s thesis (with distinction) focussed on the role of international law and legal argument, including issues of sovereignty and human rights, in Anglo-Irish relations in respect of Northern Ireland.

He is admitted as a solicitor in both Ireland (2006) and England and Wales (2010).
