Public, Administrative and Constitutional Law

Public and Constitutional Law at UCL enjoys a world-wide reputation, attracting students and researchers from all parts of the globe. The scholarly interests of our team are very broad, being distinguished by strong interests in both jurisprudential theory and interdisciplinary approaches. An active role in public affairs is very much part of the approach, together with a close engagement with legal practitioners. Members of the team also work closely with the Constitution Unit in UCL’s Department of Political Science, which leads public debate on constitutional reform. Our proximity to Parliament at Westminster and the Civil Service in Whitehall is a considerable advantage.
