Bentham Club Scholarship
The Bentham Association (formerly the Bentham Club) continues to support the Faculty by awarding prizes for students. It also holds an annual presidential address and dinner for Laws Alumni. The president and speaker is always an eminent jurist.
The Bentham Club Scholarship marks the ongoing contribution of the UCL Laws Alumni community to Faculty life. It is a testament to the history of the Bentham Club, and to the strong links between UCL Laws alumni and current students.
The Bentham Club scholarship of £1000 is awarded to a second, third or fourth year LLB student as a contribution to living expenses. The student should have a good academic record, have made a contribution to the life of the Faculty, shown outstanding promise and be in financial need.If you wish to be considered for this scholarship please submit a personal statement explaining how you satisfy the above criteria and why you should be awarded this scholarship.
Submissions, addressed to the Faculty Tutor, should be made to Gemma Burridge in the Undergraduate Office by Friday 14 December 2012. A shortlist of eligible students will be forwarded to the Bentham Club Scholarship selection panel who will make the final decision.
