Membership details, alumni events, activities and news for recent UCL Laws graduates can be found on the
UCL alumni website. This
offers former UCL students access to an online email directory, with contact details and news for thousands of alumni. Laws alumni can also join online
discussions and chat with other UCL alumni worldwide.
Benefits for UCL Alumni
The free UCL Alumni Membership Card entitles you to exclusive benefits and services.
These include discounts on the Internet Bookshop, part of WHSmith online, Fitness
First, and access to the UCL Library. You can also volunteer to share information
with current students through UCL Linx, the alumni careers network.
You can ensure that you are kept informed of the latest benefits available
to alumni and of news of developments at UCL by updating your details.
UCL Library
Ex-students of UCL are entitled to re-join the Library. Reference access is free of charge; a borrowing ticket costs £50 p.a.
Applicants are required to register at one of the Library's Issue Desks when they first visit. To apply for membership, applicants must bring the standard proof of identity and address (see What do I need to bring with me? for details) as well as proof of their status: either
a UCL Alumni Membership card,
a copy of their UCL degree certificate, or
a copy of their degree results transcript.
Tickets are renewable but issued one calendar year at a time. A passport-sized photograph is required if you wish to borrow books but not if you only require reference access. The borrowing ticket allows up to 5 books at a time to be taken out.
