CELTA - Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults

Cambridge ESOL CELTA course

The Language Centre at University College London offers an intensive course leading to the Cambridge ESOL CELTA qualification. The four week full-time course is suitable for people who are interested in learning to teach and wish to gain an initial teaching qualification that is recognised world wide. It is suitable for candidates who have some English Language teaching experience but no initial qualification, as well as for people with little or no previous teaching experience.

Entry requirements

Participants must:

  1. be current students or staff at University College London, or students or staff of the University of London
  2. have a standard of English which would enable you to teach a range of levels
  3. have a standard of education equivalent to that required for entry into higher education
  4. be a minimum of 18 years old (although the majority are around 20).

Dates

2 - 27 July 2012 inclusive.

Classes are held Monday to Friday 09.00-12.00 and 13.15-16.30.

Fees

The course fee is £1000.00 plus the Cambridge ESOL entry fee of £108.00.
