KIP geoarchaeological areas
Intensive geoarchaeological study areas (shown in gold)

KIP geoarchaeological research aims to understand long-term landscape change, past land use practices and the impact of these factors on the visibility and integrity of archaeological material.

Fieldwork was carried out at a range of scales from the regional to the site-specific. One more season is planned to identify and characterise available raw materials (especially lithics) in order to understand patterns of their exploitation.

The menu above right offers information on different aspects of KIP geoarchaeological research.
